Minutes

Minutes of the CAGG committee meeting which took place at the Liskerrett Centre on 2014-01-17. Readership is CAGG members. These minutes were approved by the committee on 2014-02-21.

Bank account

Pat circulated papers to sign for opening the CAGG account with the Natwest Bank.

Each signatory was then to take papers to their local bank to establish credentials.

It was agreed that Bank Statements would be sent to the Treasurer and confirmed that two signatories would be required for a cheque to be honoured.

CHP information

We should communicate our requirements for group insurance to the CHP. We expect to receive a communication asking for this information.

We are receiving 20 pairs of safety goggles, donated by Derris Watson.

We can ask for exhibition space at the CHAHP closing celebration on 2014-03-08.

PNJ explained about the possible web host options if we want to make use of them. This is not urgent. There are also various social media options to pursue if we wish to promote the CAGG. All would require someone to take active responsibility for maintaining them.

Kevin Wright expressed interest in setting up a Facebook group page.

Membership fees

Calum suggested that we wouldn't be demanding fees for at least another two meetings. In future we would double the meeting charge for non-members. Today's meeting charge is £2. If people join today their meeting fee will be £1.50.

The charges after March will be £3 for non-members. Field trips will have a £1 charge for members and £2 for non-members.

Receipts are issued for membership.

Calum has produced membership cards.

Next meeting

There was no explicit agreement about the next committee meeting. However, holding a committee meeting amidst the distractions of setting up for a CAGG members meeting is suboptimal and we may wish to plan future meetings differently.

The meeting closed at 19:19.
