Review of AGM

We are one short of our target number of committee members.

Committee officer roles were reviewed. These are:

Currently, our equipment is with CB so the need for this role is not urgent.

Previous minutes

Previous Minutes were accepted as correct records. It was noted that now we have insurance we can advertise field trips more widely. It wasn't clear what contact information we should provide in such advertisements.

There was discussion about the effectiveness of communications to people about field trip details and whether we are reaching all of our potential participants. The mailing list is likely to be the crucial resource for this.

Currently we have 22 members and between 60 and 70 entries in our mailing list.

AB will begin her role by publicising the forthcoming meeting on 2015-05-15.

Bank account

It was agreed to modify the signatory list by removing Helen Taverner and adding Tina Hitchings.

Constitution

Our current constitution is a draft that has surved its initial purpose of allowing the organisation to set itself up and open a bank account. It requires review because it does not reflect exactly how we work. This is not urgent but we would like to get it right and have it formally adopted at the next AGM.

PNJ suggested some items for modification:

PNJ undertook to modify the constitution for consideration at the next committee meeting (timing subject to work committments).

Next meeting

At Tregarthwin, Darite on 2015-07-10, 19:30 BST, to be chaired by TH.

PF offered to host the committee meeting after that one.

CHP proposal to manage assets

PNJ explained the proposal being considered by the CHP that a company be created to to take on the management of Houseman's Engine House Heritage Centre, some SUSTRANS land and other assets. The CHP is seeking approval from its member organisations to pursue the idea. The outcome was that the CAGG committee expressed approval.

Residential field trip plans

(2015-06-27 thru 2015-07-04)
It turned out that little discussion was necessary other than that we should try to advertise it further.
